Coventry City U18's boss Greg Rioch was pleased with the way his side came back at Watford in the second half of yesterday's 3-2 defeat.

Speaking to the club website, Rioch said: "It's been difficult for the lads recently because through injury and a couple of the boys graduating up to the first team we have not named the same team on consecutive occasions for the last couple of months.

"That is apprentice football for you but regardless of that, if we want to win games again we will need to start being firmer in defense because we need to be better at the back than we were in the first half.

"Having said that we got some excellent individual performances from Nathan Cameron, Jacob Blackwell, Connor Gudger and Callum Wilson."

Covsupport News Service are pleased to announce that the Coventry City U18's Player Of The Season will be presented at the end of the season. The award last season won by Ashley Cain, is paid for by Kev Monks and is voted by the regulars who watch City's Academy side.
