Coventry City U18's produced a fantastic performance to beat FA Youth Cup Semi-Finalists Aston Villa 5-0.

Greg Rioch's side included Callum Wilson and Shaun Jeffers and within 87 seconds, a well worked move down the right saw Arron Phillips play in Wilson who in turn played the ball across for Shaun Jeffers to sweep home from fourteen yards.

Good work between the pair produced a corner before Nelson Eddy struck Burge's left hand post with a 17th minute drive in a spell of pressure which also saw Daniel Johnson fire wide.

In the 25th minute, City got a corner and Cyrus Christie was six yards out when he fired past Hill.

City got the ball back from the kick off and Jeffers played in Callum Wilson who thundered the ball in to the net for City's third.

City were rampant and it was only a quality save from Hill in the 33rd minute which stopped Wilson from adding to the tally.

With Andy Thorn and Steve Ogrizovic now watching on, Callum Wilson had a shot saved at the start of the second half.

Former Coventry Sphinx striker Connor Taylor was given no joy by a rigid Sky Blues defence and it was City who looked more likely to score.

This they did on the hour mark when Will Robert's shot on the turn was brilliantly blocked by the keepers legs for a corner. When the flag kick came in there was a scramble and the ball ended up in the net with most of a large rowd uncertain as to whether it was Cyrus Christie, Josh Ruffles or Billy Daniels who got the final touch. Josh Ruffles got the final touch.

There was no doubt about City's fifth goal which came courtesy of. a Josh Ruffles left footed finish in the 62nd minute.

Substitute Jonson Harris burst through but fired into the side netting and just before the end of a game the City supporters did not want to end, he ran the ball towards goal only for it to be cleared off the line by Derrick Williams.

City finish their season with a home game against Southampton on April 30th.
