Coventry City U21's coach Lee Glover has described the 5-0 defeat at Hull City on Monday night as a massive learning curve for his players.
Glover told Keiran Crowley: "It's a massive learning curve for the players. It was a poor performance but the standard of the team we're putting out, we're falling short at the moment.
"It was very frustrating because you've got to be able to deal with the balls from wide areas if you're ever going to make it in the first-team.
"A lot of the goals were second phase goals were we haven't picked players up and we're not clearing the box quickly enough. These are simple things which they need to get right.
"When you come to places like this, you end up losing 3-0 or 4-0 and you learn. It's tough on the players at the moment but they need to pick themselves up quickly."
