Coventry City Academy Coach Ian Foster, said that he was proud of his side which progressed to the second round of the FA Youth Cup with a 4-3 win over Shrewsbury Town last night.

Speaking after the game at the Ricoh Arena to Keiren Crowley, Foster said; “It is a proud moment for them to play in the Ricoh Arena and get a win like that. They put in a decent performance and scored four goals so we are happy to progress.

“I have been here seven weeks now and that is the third 4-3 we’ve been involved in. But overall, the players can be proud of their performance and we have all enjoyed the night.”

City now travel to either Oldham or Accrington Stanley in the second round which must be played before November 17th.
