Farndon: We Figured It Out In The End

Coventry City coach Jason Farndon said that City U23's figured it out in the end as they beat Watford 2-1 at home yesterday.

Farndon told the club website about the win which saw goals for Kyle Finn and Jack Burroughs after former City loanee Michael Folivi had given Watford a first half lead:  “It was a really good victory, as you could see we were restricted by number of players with the first team playing Tuesday, so it was a really young team and I thought we figured it out in the end.

“We played with no striker as there wasn’t one available, so we mustered a team together and we thought as the game went on we was the better team.

“I’m with the development squad and you see what the manager has to do to get players to play Saturday, Tuesday and then with an under-23s game on a Monday it can be a bit of a headache.

“But it’s a great opportunity and players get to play and it’s spun round.

“The other week we had a lot of first team players in the under-23s game and the development players missed out, but this week it’s the other way round so it’s a bit of a balancing act.”
