Coventry City manager Chris Coleman has praised City Academy boss Gregor Rioch for the way he is developing the young talent at the club.

Adam Walker and Curtis Wynter have made their first team debuts whilst Ashley Cain and Sean Fraser have been on the bench in a year which saw the Academy back in a healthy, vibrant state after concerns for its future last year.

"What struck me about the kids we have seen this year is that on top of the obvious ability - in fairness to Gregor Rioch - the way they have come and conducted themselves has been terrific," said Chris Coleman to the CT.

"They have not been in awe of it and coped with it very well and they are gentlemen, proper gentlemen who have been brought up the right way. And that's impressed me.

"We have had Adam who has come one for five minutes. Curtis made his debut and I said at the time it was too early for them because we did it out of ncessity because of injuries. But both players did well and we have got Ashley Cain who is going to come in with Jermaine Grandison and we will see how they go in the next 12 months.

"We can't say that all four of them are going to break through, knowing what football is like but we can definitely see something there to think let's work with them a bit more and see where we can get them to.

"I would like to get them out on loan and get some games under their belts in the division or two below so they can get some first team experience which will bring out the best in them.

"They almost grow up into men and that's what we are looking at. I met with their parents last week to discuss what we have got planned for them, so I have been happy with them and there might be one or two that get a game between now and the end of the season. "
