Coventry City U23's made it four wins out of five in 2019 with a 3-2 victory at Cardiff City tonight.

City travelled to the Cardiff City Stadium with an expected U23's squad which saw Declan Drysdale and Dave Bremang back in the starting eleven and on arrival in South Wales, the Sky Blues laid a wreath in memory of Emiliano Sala and Dave Ibbotson, the pilot of the plane they were sadly killed in and thee was a minute's silence before kick off.

The Sky Blues took the lead in the eleventh minute with a Reise Allassani shot, which the winger added to with a goal in the 22nd minute thanks to a stunning run and finish low into the net.

Five minutes later and City had a third goal when Charlie Wakefield found room and scored with a 25 yarder.

Cardiff pulled a goal back in the 56th minute through Ben Margetson and scored a second through Lloyd Humphries in the 89th minute but it was the Sky Blues who took the victory.
