City U23's Lose Away To Colchester

Coventry City U23's were beaten 4-2 at Colchester United.

Jason Farndon was able to field a strong team with no first team game until Sunday and included a side which had Liam O'Brien in goal, Chris Stokes, Dominic Hyam, Peter Vincenti, Ben Stevenson and Jordan Ponticelli who gave the Sky Blues the lead at Florence Park when he headed home from a Dion Kelly-Evans cross.

Colchester equalised through a Courtney Senior goal before the twenty minute mark and went ahead just before half-time thanks to a Decarry Sheriff finish. 

Senior scored Colchester's third early in the second half against a City side, who had Bilal Sayoud net late on.

However, in the final minutes, substitute Tariq Issa scored against for the home side and City were beaten 4-2.
