City U23's Beaten At QPR

Coventry City U23's were beaten 3-2 at Queens Park Rangers this afternoon.

At Loftus Road, a young Sky Blues side without a number of players who are in the first team squad, were ahead in the 13th minute when JORDAN PONTICELLI headed home a Jordan Shipley corner.

Ponticelli hit a post eight minutes later and then got in a shot which the keeper pushed out and KYLE SPENCE scored from.

The West Londoners responded with a 24th minute goal from EBERE EZE but City led 2-1 at the break.  

However, in the 66th minute and with Ivor Lawton coming through another 57 minutes, QPR equalised through French international AXEL PROHOULY and in the 85th minute, EBERE EZE scored again to send City to a defeat.
