City U23's Beaten At Barnsley

Coventry City U23's lost their third consecutive away game with a 1-0 defeat at Barnsley.

Having lost at Leeds and Bolton, beaten Burnley and drew with Sheffield Wednesday, the Sky Blues travelled to Oakwell training centre behind Barnsley FC's ground.

Jason Farndon fielded a much younger team than the one which drew with Wednesday on Monday but still kept Amadou Bakayoko up front in a ide which also had Jordan Thompson and Dexter Walters.

City went down to a 1-0 defeat with the goal coming in the first half when a Tai-Reece Chisholm shot took a dellection and went into the net for Barnsley, managed by former City reserve teamer Martin Devaney.

City Corey Addai, Lewis Green, Chris Camwell, Josh Eccles, Reece Ford, Jordan Thompson, Dexter Walters (Jack Burroughs, 63), Zane Westbrooke (c), Amadou Bakayoko, Jonny Ngandu (David Bremang, 58), Billy Stedman. Not used: McCallum, Billson, Williams.
