Coventry City U21's came from three goals down to beat Bolton Wanderers 4-3 this afternoon.

In a game played at AHC not at Ryton as in an earlier and since removed tweet, Lee Glover's side, which was basically a team of U18's players and Lateef Elford-Alliyu who has been told that his contract will not be getting extended and George Thomas, back from his loan at Yeovil, were a goal down in 17 minutes when a Kaine Woolery shot which Skuza, maling his first start for the U21's failed to handle got through.

Woolery might have been fortunate with his first goal but there was nothing fortunate about his second goal which saw him smash the ball home on the half hour mark.

George Thomas fired at the Bolton keeper and sent over a 36th minute free kick but three minutes before the break, it was three when Jamie Thomas curled in a stunning 25 yard free kick.

Bolton's Joe Ceberio blasted over early in the second half with Jay Albini firing at the Bolton keeper in the 55th minute.

City attacked again, a minute later through Albini and a cracking cross was met by the head of George Thomas to reduce the arrears..

Konrad Skuza made a great save from Jamie Thomas in the 68th minute and then caught the corner before City went up the other end and Sambou sent a diving header wide.

Jamie Thomas delivered a free kick and then a corner before getting through and only sending a tame effort at Skuza,

Bolton, watched by Emile Heskey, were playing some good balls but had run out of ideas up front.

George Thomas made a great run and shot in the 78th minute.
Bolton won two corners as the sun came out on what had been a wet afternoon in Coventry.

With six minutes to go, City had a second goal when substitute Ronee Hendricks crossed on the left for Bas Sambou to score.

It was all City and with three minutes left, the Sky Blues  were awarded a penalty and George Thomas stepped up to score and from being three goals down, it was now 3-3.

The game went into stoppage time, which was extended by an injury to Jordan Shipley. City attacked and as the Bolton defence struggled, a cross came came over and there was Bas Sambou to slot in to the net to give City U21's a 4-3 win their final game of 2015.
