City U21 Game Date Moved

Coventry City's U21 game against Huddersfield Town has been given a new date.

City have asked for the game to be postponed from this Friday at 2pm and the clubs have agreed on a new date of Tuesday October 15th at 2pm at Ryton.

Whether this match will be played behind closed doors has not been officially announced.

There had been unconfirmed rumours that the club had concerns as to the safety of Huddersfield Town manager Mark Robins, his assistant Steve Taylor and coach Darren Robinson for the game due to have been played on Friday October 4th.

If there is any shred of truth in these rumours, then this idea that the safety of Mr Robins etc, would be compromised, is very wide of the mark and totally groundless.

Whilst the City support was disappointed to see Mark Robins leave the Sky Blues last February, Mark has moved on and so have the City support, who have seen events unfold since his departure.

Mr Robins and his staff are more than welcome visitors and would have treated as such by the City support, which at U21 matches is usually out-numbered by parents of players and agents/scouts.
