City U18's Win At Birmingham

Coventry City U18's warmed up for their FA Youth Cup tie at Manchester City with a 2-1 win at Birmingham City.

Goerge Thomas was heavily involved in City's chances in the first half of a game at Wast Hills but four minutes into the second half, Bas Sambou gave Jason Farndon's side the lead following a scramble in the area.

Six minutes from time, Jordan Shipley made it a good morning for the Sky Blues when he finished off a Jacob Whitmore pass.

Birmingham scored a goal in the second minute of stoppage time when Corey O'Keefe headed in but the Sky Blues took a 2-1 victory which helps their push for the PDL League 2 North title.
