Coventry City U18's were beaten 3-2 by Derby County in their final home game of the season.

At Ryton, Darren Wassall's side started the better with Max Lowe getting down the left and crossed for Charles Vernan to open the scoring with a tap in.

Derby had two good chances but in the 28th minute, City were level when Dominic Dell got the ball and thundered a shot from twenty yards into the net.

Ten minutes later and Varnan sent a right footed volley towards the goal. Alex Gott got his hand to the shot and pushed it onto the bar for a corner.

City won three corners and Forrester fired at the keeper. In the 43rd minute, Derby gifted the Sky Blues, who are hoping to be back at their Alan Higgs home in the near future, a second goal. A poor clearance fell for Dominic Dell to stroke into an empty net with the keeper well away from the action.

In the sunshine at Ryton, the Sky Blues won an early corner before Maund fired over on the hour mark.

Eight minutes later and the Rams were awarded a harsh free kick for a foul by Revan. The wall lined up but Jamie Manson curled his kick high into the net.

In the 75th minute, Andre Johnstone came on for Derby and with his first touch, he steered home a pass from a Dales cross to give Derby the win.
