Coventry City U18's kicked off their FA Academy League season with a 3-2 victory at Barnsley this lunchtime.
The Sky Blues, who had a good pre-season, came under a lot of pressure but pleasingly stuck to their guns after scoring three goals through Gael Birgirimana, Luke Bottomer and Billy Daniels.
City are at home next Saturday to Sheffield United in another inter-league game.
