Coventry City U18's were made to pay yet again for not putting away their chances with a defeat to Bristol City.

The Sky Blues got at Bristol from the start. Will Roberts won a corner, Billy Daniels had a header saved and Josh Ruffles hit the side netting but in the seventh minute, Joe Lennox raced onto a Muggeridge through ball and lobbed Lee Burge for the opening goal.

There was plenty of crisp passing for the City support to savour on a cold, damp morning at the Alan Higgs Centre, with the midfield, forwards and even defenders pushing forward to get City attacking.

Luke Bottomer had a fine game and was involved in a great move which saw Billy Daniels fire over in the 31st minute.

Bottomer, Donald, and Daniels all had efforts on goal but four minutes into the second half, the visitors increased their lead further when Arron Holloway rose to head in a 49th minute free kick.

City kept fighting with Bottomer winning a corner and Josh Ruffles finding the side netting with a splendid 55th minute left footed drive.

Things started to get niggly with substitute Jonson Harris-Clark getting a caution before the Bristol City keeper denied Daniels 75th minute close range shot.

Joe Henderson also went in the book before Clark-Harris rose to head over with six minutes to go.

Daniels drilled a shot wide and substitute Wiseman just missed the far post as City had most of the play but none of the goals.
