Coventry City U18's were beaten 2-1 by Watford this morning in a re-arranged FA Academy League Group B game.
Against a strong Watford side, which had been beaten by a late goal at Spurs on Saturday, City on a sunny morning at the Alan Higgs Centre, took the lead in the 19th minute.
Will Roberts got the ball up on the left and sent over a cross that a defender forced onto his own right hand post under pressure from Jonson Harris. The ball came loose and there was Courtney Richards to fire City in front.
Good work forced a 24th minute corner but five minutes before the break, Watford drew level.
On the hour mark, Watford scored again and although Jonson Harris had two good chances near the end, City could not get a share of the points.
