Coventry City Reserves drew 1-1 with Northampton Town at Warwick University this lunchtime.

Frankie Bunn fielded a team for the private friendly which had Danny Ireland in goal, a defence which saw Marcus Hall start at Left Back with Ben Turner and Jermaine Grandison the central pairing whilst Curtis Wynter was at right back.

In Midfield, Chris Hussey started off on the left, with Adam Walker (replaced by Grogan in the second half) and Elliott Ward in the middle and Ashley Cain on the right wing. Shaun Jeffers and Callum Wilson were the attackers.

It was Shaun Jeffers (pictured below) who scored early on to put City ahead but Northampton equalised with a penalty converted by Gary Mulligan after a foul by Chris Hussey who had dropped to left back, following the substitution of Marcus Hall.

Keeper Danny Ireland made a cracking save from former Sky Blue Kevin Thornton late on to earn City a draw. Another former City player Liam Davis had 45 minutes for the visitors.
