Coventry City Reserves kept up their run of good form with a 3-1 home victory against Oldham Athletic.

Steve Ogrizovic and Frankie Bunn fielded a side which including Dimi Konstantoplous,Gary Borrowdale,Scott Dann,Ellery Cairo,Liam Davis,Wayne Andrews and Chris Birchall.

It was the latter two,who put the Sky Blues ahead with less than four minutes on the clock. Callum Burgess played the ball down the Liberty Way pitch for Wayne Andrews who dispossed a defender. The striker got to the byline and centred for Chris Birchall to bang home from four yards.

With Ray Ranson,Chris Coleman joining the mix of supporters and scouts in the crowd, the Sky Blues enjoyed the vast majority of possession.

In the 36th minute,Lee Hildreth really should have doubled the Sky Blues lead.  The midfielder timed his run to get on the end of a four man move, but with only the keeper to beat, he fired against the crossbar.

Wayne Andrews had two chances early in the second half and in the 57th minute, the goal at the Ian Neale Stand end which City were attacking was breached. Liam Davis was the man who scored, with a deliberate curled twenty yard shot into the bottom corner.

Four minutes later, City scored again. This time Wayne Andrews attacked down the left flank and hit with his left foot,a cross cum shot which swung and crept in past Josh Bell in the Oldham goal on his right hand post.

Lee Duxbury's side pulled one back in the 71st minute through Matt Wolfenden who dispossessed substitute Curtis Wynter before firing past Konstantopolous from an acute angle but Second placed City had too much in the tank and won the game quite comfortably.
