Coventry City U18’s are preparing for the FA Youth Cup.
Greg Rioch and Lee Carsley’s side don’t come in until the third round of the competition, which the Sky Blues won in 1987 and have appeared in four finals.
However, in order to try and make progression in the competition after early exits over the last few seasons and to avoid some of the players getting nerves about playing for the first time in a Football League or Premier League stadium depending on who they draw in the third round, the Sky Blues are preparing their players with a game at Peterborough United’s London Road stadium.
Both City and hosts Peterborough United will be treating the game as an unofficial FA Youth Cup tie First Round.
