Coventry City U18's had possibly their biggest ever victory since they changed to the Academy system when they absolutely smashed Burton Albion 11-0 this morning.

Greg Rioch's side were able to field the likes of Arron Phillips, Josh Ruffles and they were ahead in the ninth minute when Phillips was involved in the move which saw Jonson Harris Clarke get into the area and slip the ball past the advancing visiting keeper.

Lee Burge made a good stop from the Burton number eight before some good defending at the other end blocked a close range Phillips shot and deflected the ball out off the post for a corner.

In the 16th minute, it was 2-0 to City when Will Roberts back from international duty, got to the edge of the area and drilled a low sheet into the bottom.

Jemal Wiseman fired just over the bar with a twenty five yarder before a sublime finish from the edge of the area made it 3-0 to City in the 32nd minute.

Four minutes later, Josh Ruffles got to the edge of the area and hit a shot which was not the most powerful he has ever hit but had enough direction to beat the keeper.

Jonson Harris Clarke completed his hat-trick three minutes before the interval when he cut in from the right to smartly beat the keeper.

Four changes were made by the Sky Blues and one of those changes in Billy Daniels scored in the 48th minute, tapping into an empty net after Ben Maund had rounded the keeper.

Seconds later, Maund got the ball on the left and from the edge of the area hit a shot that the keeper spilled into the net.

The City support on a sunny morning at the Alan Higgs Centre had to wait ten minutes for the next goal which courtesy of a looping header from Courtney Richards.

Four minutes later, Lewis Rankin found the net with a gifted left footed shot from the edge of the area and in the 64th minute, Courtney Richards broke through to score City's tenth.

In the 68th minute, Richards completed his hat-trick when he broke through to score with an excellent finish, past a keeper now wishing he had stayed in bed.

Henderson had a shot blocked and Billy Daniels was denied a penalty late on before the annihilation was complete
