Coventry City U18's went down to a 4-1 defeat at home to Hull City this lunch-time.

City U18's played three trialists in a side that was changed following the 7-0 drubbing by Huddersfield on Saturday.

Hull City should have been ahead in the ninth minute when their number seven fired over.

In the fifteenth minute, City took the lead when Jay Albini did well down the left and crossed for Jordan Shipley to slot home from eight yards.

The trialist up front for City showed plenty of running whilst his opposite number wasted a good chance in the 23rd minute.

Two minutes later and City had a corner but had it cleared.

The Hull keeper made a good stop with his feet from the trialist thanks to a Shipley pass.

Hull had another chance and in the 32nd minute, they were level when they broke through and their number ten drove home from the edge of the area.

Hull had the ball in the net following a 44th minute free kick but the flag was up and it was honours even at the break.

Straight after the restart and a mistake by Skuza let in Hull for two chances which were cleared off the line.

In the 56th minute, Hull went ahead when the ball was played out to theur number eleven on the left inside the area and he lashed the ball high into the net.

The trialist won a corner as did Bayliss in the 61st minute.

Jacob Whitmore was replaced by Kyle Finn in the 65th minute for a City side which was 3-1 down in the 68th minute thanks to a stunning shot from twenty yards out.

With twenty minutes left, Dan Smith came on for Shipley but in the 73rd minute, City were 4-1 down after Hull went down the middle and they scored with a neat finish.

Hull continued to lay siege to the goal forcing some good saves from Skuza but poor defending in the second half had seen three goals conceded and a defeat for the Sky Blues.
