Supporters are being advised to check with their airtline that their flight is running if they are flying into the United Kingdom for matches over the weekend.
A number of City supporters are expected to be flying in for the Sky Blues game with Preston North End including the Coventry City Supporters Club Irish Branch, who are due to make their Player Of The Year Presentation.
All UK Airports are currently closed following a volcanic eruption in Iceland entering UK airspace, forcing the closure of all airports to prevent any damage to planes.
Volcanology expert Professor Chris MacLeod, of Cardiff University, told Sky News Online: "It's possible it could go on for quite some time - maybe a week or two - before it fully disperses."
