Coventry City are allowing City season ticket holders to try out the Jewson Stand.

This is the first season that City supporters have been permitted into this end since the ground opened in August 2005.

Any season ticket holder who wants to 'Test Drive' the Jewson Stand can do so for any remaiing home game apart from the games against West Brom,Sheffield United,Leicester and Wolves. This can be done upto three times by showing their season ticket to a turnstile steward.

Says Sky Blues Commercial Director Ken Sharp: "We are constantly looking into ways of improving the atmosphere at the Ricoh Arena. "Following consultation with approximately 50 Jewson Stand season ticket holders we have developed the idea of 'Test Driving the Jewson Stand.'"

"The Safety Advisory Group (SAG) have requested for major games, where there will be large away followings, that we do not allow season ticket holders to move into the Jewson Stand and on these occasions the Jewson will revert it format of last season - situating away fans only - with existing Jewson Stand season ticket holders moving into 'shadow' seats and being compensated with an extra free ticket.

"We are confident that if we can get another 4-500 season ticket holders from other stands in to see what the view and atmosphere is like in the Jewson Stand, it will create enough critical mass to bring back memories of the old West Terrace at Highfield Road, where there was always a great atmosphere."
