Matchday Price Increases To Continue

Price increases for on the day admission at Coventry City home matches are to continue.

The club had a trial for the Reading and Crystal Palace games whereby supporters could buy a ticket right up until kick off and only pay the normal advanced price. However, Coventry City's Commercial Director Nathan Kosky revealed it has a negative impact.

Writing in the programme for yesterday's game against Peterborough, Mr Kosky said: "Unfortunately, there was no difference on the walk up on matchday which backs up industry research that lowering the costs of tickets , although often cited as a means to increase gates, does not actually affect attendances but simply damages the revenue the club gets.

"We may try this again in the New Year because we are always prepared to listen to the views of our supporters but so far the results have been negative."

Tickets for all remaining home league matches are on sale.
