Coventry City's FA Cup Third Round tie at Blackburn Rovers is one of six matches chosen by the FA for a "One FA Cup" promotion.

The aim is to increase the amount of families at games and the FA have decided that both adult City and Blackburn supporters can buy a child's ticket for one pound when purchasing their tickets.

Ticket prices for the game which will be played on Saturday January 5th at 3pm are still to be announced.

The ties are
Blackburn Rovers v Coventry City, Plymouth Argyle v Hull City, Bolton Wanderers v Sheffield United, Sunderland v Wigan Athletic, Huddersfield Town v Birmingham City and Wolverhampton Wanderers v Cambridge United.

FA Chief Executive Brian Barwick commented: "This is the first time we've done something like this and we are pleased to be able to do it. The Third Round of The FA Cup, with lower league and non-League teams aiming to upset teams from the top end of the game, has a unique and special place in the football calendar.

"The FA Cup is a competition that every season creates great drama and excitement. Viewing figures on television and match attendances are strong and we want to build on that by giving as many families, and especially children, the chance to experience the magic of the tournament live"
