Coventry City have appointed Steve Ebanks as their new Ticketing Sales Manager.

The 38 year old, who has previously worked at the Birmingham Hippodrome and Birmingham NEC Group, will be in charge of ticket sales for City games as well as events at the Ricoh Arena.

"This will be an extremely busy 12 months and I am looking forward to the challenges immensel," he said to the club website.

"My job will be to make sure the ticketing operation goes as smoothly as possible when people are buying tickets as well as ensuring we provide an efficient after-sales service.

"I will be looking at group initiatives for schools and clubs as well as looking at markets which haven't been explored to encourage more people to come along to Coventry City's matches.

"I will also be looking at enhancing our database so that we are in touch with supporters to give them information about up-coming events at the Ricoh Arena.

"I have already spoken to many supporters to find out their views on our ticketing operation to find out how we can further improve our service."

Nathan Kosky, City's Commercial Director told the club website: "This is a key appointment because Stephen will be focused on creating new initiatives to encourage the next generation of the Sky Blue army as well as focusing on customer service.

"It is also important that we build on the good work that we have started to encourage more schools and sports clubs to bring groups to Coventry City matches.

"We are also looking at ways of reaching out to local employers to encourage them to bring their workforce to the games as a staff incentive or day out."
