Queens Park Rangers supporters coming to the Ricoh Arena on Saturday will be paying a lot cheaper admission than they do to get into areas of Loftus Road.

QPR supporters will pay £25 for adult admission into the Jewson Stand on Saturday or £26 at the turnstiles but Sky Blues supporters planning on going to the return game at Loftus Road on January 10th could face the prospect of paying £40 to get in.

The QPR Board have divided their stands into either Platinum,Gold,Silver or Bronze areas and the away end which for the last few visits by the Sky Blues has been the upper tier of the School End stand is in the gold section.

The games are then divided into match categories of A,B and C.

Prices for Category A games are, according to QPR's official website, are £40 for adults and £20 for 60+,U16's and 16-21's. Kids under eight do go free. This seems to be for Saturday matches.

Category C prices being £30 adults and £20 concessions which seems to be for midweek matches.

QPR have defended their prices saying in a statement released to London 94.9: "Since the takeover, the club has had massive investment, for both on and off the pitch activities. "The board has considered it a necessity to increase match-day prices to maintain budgets previously set.  "We are totally committed to building a sound financial base for the future.

"We've looked at prices both in the Championship and the Premier League and we believe we're providing a good entertainment product. "The base price has not changed. You can still get a ticket at QPR for £20, but we're making an effort to maximise our revenue for the best views in the house.

"Children under the age of eight will continue to be able to purchase match-day tickets in certain areas of the ground free of charge, while concessions will continue to receive substantial discounts."

Derby County who are due to play at Southampton on September 27th are refusing to sell tickets at the prices demanded by Queens Park Rangers who have appealed to the Football League.

Any City season ticket holders who are yet to receive their season ticket can collect them from the ticket office at the Arena either tomorrow or on Saturday.
