The nearest train station is Blackpool South with Blackpool North, a good twenty minutes walk away.

You can fly to Blackpool Airport at Squires Gate from Belfast, Dublin, Isle of Man, Palma, Malaga, Sorrento, Faro, Gerona, Jersey, Murcia and Alicante. The airport is a 15 minute drive from the ground.

THE LAST TIME
Saturday will see Coventry City’s 14th visit to Blackpool for a league match. 

The Sky Blues have won only once in Blackpool in a League fixture and that was a 1-0 win in 1922 and have lost on eleven occasions with one draw. City have scored on five occasions at Blackpool but conceded 31 goals. 

City’s last game in Blackpool was on January 31st 2012 on a night where Conor Thomas gave City the lead but Kevin Phillips came on for the Seasiders and scored in the 87th minute with Gary Taylor-Fletcher getting the winner for Blackpool in the third minute of stoppage time.

MATCH OFFICIALS
The currently appointed referee for Coventry City’s League One game at Blackpool on Saturday is Mark Brown from East Yorkshire.

His last City game was the 4-1 win over Gillingham back in November and other City games he has been in charge of are the 1-0 defeat away to Preston North End in February 2015, the 1-1 draw with Sheffield United in December 2012, the 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace in March 2012 and the 1-0 defeat away to Peterborough United in December 2011.

His assistants are: Anthony Backhouse and Mark Duncan. The Fourth Official is Ryan Johnson.
