Parking: If the game is expected to attract less than 10,000 spectators then the Residental Parking Scheme may not be enforced.

City supporters can now pay on the day to park at the Ricoh Arena before Coventry City home games. £10 will be charged to park in Car Park A and C with £7 for Car Park B.  Getting your parking from the Ricoh Arena itself may see you treated better.

Parking places are subject to availability and motorists will not be allowed to leave the car parks A & B for twenty minutes after the final whistle.

The park and ride site is at The Oak Pub  in Baginton near to Coventry Airport. Parking at the two park and walk sites at Christ the King Football Club in Wheelwright Lane and St Finbarrs and Wayside Business Park in Wilsons Lane.  Vehicles can park there for £5.50 per game.

The Sky Blue Express return coach service is back for the new season. Leaving from Christ The King Club in Coundon to the Ricoh Arena for all home games. The coach leaves the club approximately 35mins prior to kick off and returns after the match.

THE LAST TIME
New Year's Day will see the 26th league and cup game between Coventry City and Shrewsbury Town.

Of the previous 25 matches, City have won nine and drawn seven scoring 45 goals to Shrewsbury's 40.

The Shrews last visit to Coventry saw the Sky Blues win 8-1 in a Third Division game on Tuesday October 22nd 1963.

They have never won a game at Coventry and have lost eight of their twelve previous visits to our city.

MATCH OFFICIALS
The currently appointed referee for Coventry City's League One fixture against Shrewsbury Town is Darren Deadman.

Mr Deadman is from Peterborough and his last City game was the 1-0 home defeat to Leicester City on August 6th 2011 in which he booked six and sent two off

A 36 year old Civil Servant, Mr Deadman progressed to the National List via the National List of assistant referees in 2000 and the referees' list in 2005. He got into refereeing after playing semi pro football and getting injured.

Mr Deadman has a reputation for being card happy and last season in his fifty matches, he showed a staggering 209 yellow cards and fourteen reds, way more than any other referee on the Football League list.
This season in his 20 matches , he has shown 69 yellow cards and 4 red. His last game was Hartlepool's 3-2 win at Sheffield United on Saturday where he cautioned five.

Before the Leicester game, his last City game was the, 2-2 draw at Norwich City back in May 2011. Previous matches are the 1-0 win at Crystal Palace in February 2010, the 3-2 defeat at Preston in September 2009, the 1-1 draw at Sheffield United in September 2008 and the 2-1 defeat at Watford in April 2008.
