Kick off at 7.45pm. The match is live on Sky Sports. If this Northern Area Semi-Final is level after ninety minutes, the game will go straight to penalties. The winner will face Crewe or Bradford City who play their semi-final on January 15th in the Northern Area Final which is over two legs.

City supporters can now pay on the day to park at the Ricoh Arena before Coventry City home games. £10 will be charged to park in Car Park A and C with £7 for Car Park B. Getting your parking from the Ricoh Arena itself may see you treated better.

Parking places are subject to availability and motorists will not be allowed to leave the car parks A & B for twenty minutes after the final whistle.

THE LAST TIME
This is the first time the sides have met in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy and is only the fourth cup match between the two sides in 34 league and cup meetings.

Coventry City got to this stage by beating Burton at home on penalties after a 0-0 draw, a 4-0 win at York City and a penalties win over Sheffield United after a 1-1 draw.

Preston beat Carlisle away on penalties, won 4-2 at Morecambe and needed penalties to win at Bury after a 3-3 draw.

Of the three previous cup matches between the two sides, City have won all three scoring nine goals to Preston's three.

MATCH OFFICIALS
The currently appointed referee for Coventry City's Johnstone's Paint Trophy Northern Area Semi-Final against Preston North End is Robbie Madley from West Yorkshire.

He began refereeing in 2002 and having progressed through the West Yorkshire League and Contributory League System, was promoted to Panel Referee in 2008. He spent a season as a Premier League Assistant Referee before being promoted to the Football League Referee List in 2010.

His last City game was the 1-1 home draw with MK Dons earlier this season and his only City game before that was the 2-2 draw at Cardiff City last season.

This season, he has had 19 matches and show 49 yellows and three red. His last game was Wigan's 1-1 draw with AFC Bournemouth in the FA Cup last Saturday.

His assistants are Alan Clayton and James Wilson. The fourth official is Mark Haywood.
