MATCH OFFICIALS
The currently appointed referee for Coventry City's Championship game against Portsmouth is Geoff Eltringham from Sunderland.

Mr Eltringham got into refereeing thanks to a work colleague. He had packed up playing after leaving secondary school but wanted to remain in football and thought refereeing was the best way to do that.

This will be his third City match. Previous games include the 2-0 defeat at Barnsley earlier this season and the 2-1 defeat at Preston North End last season.

He has had 31 matches so far this season and shown  71 yellows and 4 red.

His assistants are Delan Ford from Lincolnshire and Michael George from Norfolk  The Fourth Official is Mark Scholes from Buckinghamshire
