Wyken Lad In Marathon Stint

Wyken Lad Steve Edwards has set a new world record for running ten marathons in ten days. Edwards, who now lives in Warwickshire, competed in ten marathons around Lake Windermere on ten consecutive days and set a new world record of 35 hours and 20 minutes for the 262 miles. This beat the record by two hours and 19 minutes and saw Edwards say to the CT: "It's a great feeling to know that I have run 10 maratbons in ten days in the fastest time and I felt such a great sense of acheivement that I broke down and cried." Steve, 45, has run more than 460 marathons and wants to complete 500 by the time he reaches fifty.
