Worcestershire game off

Warwickshire County Cricket Club's Twenty20 game at Worcester tomorrow has been cancelled.

All the heavy rain which has hit Britain over the last few days has flooded the New Road pitch for the first tme since May 31st 1969.

Worcester are looking at an alternative venue but rules state that it must be played at another venue in the same county.

Those who have bought tickets for this game are warned that Worcestershire are implementing a rain check policy that applies for all tickets sold, whereby people can reclaim their ticket for any other match during the season, except Twenty20.

Warwickshire are at home to Northamptonshire Steelbacks later today. Play starts at 5.40pm and is live on Sky Sports. You can listen to BBC Coventry & Warwickshire's commentary at
