Coventry Sphinx are encouraging all Coventry City supporters to make Boxing Day a festive double header when they entertain Atherstone Town in the Midland Football Alliance (11.30am).

The kick off has been moved forwards to give all those going to watch the Sky Blues game against Crystal Palace at the Ricoh (3.00pm) the opportunity to give Paul Charnley's side as much support as possible in this eagerly anticipated local derby.

Any Sky Blues supporters showing their season or match day ticket will gain entry for a reduced admission of £4 (Normally £5) with any junior sky blues going free.

Vice Chairman Neil Long commented, "We would love to see the Sphinx packed for the Atherstone game which will create a really good atmosphere for the early morning game. They'll be plenty of us heading to the Ricoh afterwards to cheer on the Sky Blues and what a better way to get out in the fresh air and watch two games of football on Boxing Day"

Paul Charnley's side are through to the fourth round of the FA Carlsberg Vase for the first time with Wembley only four wins away as well as the quarter finals of the Midland Alliance League Cup in what is turning out to be a memorable season for the Siddeley Avenue based club.
