Warwickshire County Cricket Club's Pro40 game with Middlesex at Edgbaston was abandoned.

With no Ian Bell or Ian Westwood who was ill and Kenilworth Wardens James Ord making his county debut, Middlesex faced two balls before the rain came down.

After an hour, they were back but after two overs having scored ten runs, the rain came down again and the batsmen went off.

After nearly two hours, the umpires finally abandoned the match.

Tomorrow, Warwickshire face Lancashire in a County Championship fixture at Edgbaston. Warwicks go into the game not having won a Championship game this season and knowing that they need to start winning to avoid relegation straight back to the second division.
