Warwicks In Trouble

Warwickshire are in trouble chasing Northants first innings total.

On the second day of the County Championship match at Edgbaston, Northants batted on before finally declaring on 407-8 with Kluesener, today adding sixty runs in an innings of 83 and Nelson made 42.

When Warwickshire batted they were soon in trouble. Eight runs had been made before Poonia was caught for four. Darren Maddy and Ian Westwood batted on adding seventy more runs before Maddy was caught by Sales.

Ian Westwood, who had made 30 was out six runs later. Warwicks were 120-3 when bad light stopped play.

In the Fourth Test, England were 319 all out. Ian Bell only added two runs to his overnight total of 22 but skipper Kevin Pietersen made a century before he became Ntini's fourth victim.

After tea Jacques Khallis took three wickets in the space of fifteen runs and Ntini collected his fifth wicket.
