Warwicks Finally Get To Bat

On Day three of the County Championship game at Edgbaston, Warwickshire finally got to bat.

Somerset resumed on 226-2 and Marcus Trescothwick went on to make 107 before he was caught lbw by Boyd Rankine.

Hildreth made an unbeaten 86 before Somerset declared on 323-8.

Ian Westwood last two balls before he was out for a duck. This was followed by Jim Troughton out for 11 and Neil Carter 26 to leave Warwicks on 61-3.

Tony Frost and Jon Trott who, was omitted from the England Ashes team, came in to steady the ship. Frost ended the day 71 not out and Trott 40 and Warwicks on 156-3.

In the Ashes match at Headingly, it was disaster for England. Ian Bell only made eight out of an England score of 102 all out. Siddle picked up five wickets.

In reply, Australia closed on 196-4.
