Two Goals For Soderstrom In Blaze Draw

Coventry Blaze drew 3-3 in a Challenge Cup match at Nottingham Panthers tonight.

Matt Soderstrom fired Paul Thompson's side ahead after 6.27 of a game which saw both teams amass 26 minutes each of penalty time.

The second period produced five goals. Soderstrom assisted again by Dan Carlson made it two after 31.10 only for Nottingham to draw level in just over eight minutes with goals from Kevin Bergin and Dan Tessier.

Blaze, who were able to field Scott Kelman after his suspension, regained the lead after 38.02 through Russ Cowley but Johan Molin tied the game, one minute and thirty eight seconds later.

On Wednesday night. The Blaze are at home to Edinburgh Capitols in an Elite League fixture before travelling to Cardiff Devils on Saturday night and then meeting Nottingham Panthers at the Sky Dome on Sunday November 2nd at 6pm.,
