Warwickshire County Cricket Club are out of the Twenty20 cup after a Quarter-Final defeat at home to Lancashire.

The visitors batted first with Gareth Cross and Steven Croft hitting nine sixes in a knock of 97. Law (44) and Hodge (26) helped the total to 193-5 from their twenty overs which were bowled by eight different Warwickshire players.

In reply, Darren Maddy went for three early on, whilst the other opening batsman fared better hitting four sixes before falling to the spin bowling of Mittish Muralitharan for 58.

Jon Trott made 49 with Jim Troughton adding 29 and Heath Streak 19,but with other wickets going down cheaply,Warwickshire finished on 187-7, six runs short of a target which would have given them a semi-final place.
