Coventry born Cal Crutchlow finished third in the bwin Grand Prix České republiky in Brno.
The Monster Yamaha Tech 3 rider rode to take his first ever place on the podium behind race winner Dani Pedrosa and second placed Jorge Lorenzo.
A delighted Crutchlow tweeted: "So nice to finally get a motogp podium. I think we have deserved it. Knew we had a good pace all weekend. so nice to back it up ! Now look forward to hopefully continue a good second half of the year."
