Storm Lose At Mildenhall

Coventry Storm speedway team were beaten 42-48 in the second leg of the Knock Out Cup First Round at Mildenhall.

The Storm, trailing 45-47 from the first leg, brought in Paul Stark as a guest to replace Joe Jacobs and but it was Stefan Nielsen who won the first heat to give the home side a 5-1.

A 3-3 was followed by a 4-2 for Mildenhall before the Storm came back with two 4-2's.

Both sides had a 4-2 but in heat eight, Luke Crang and Martin Knuckby rode to a 5-1 to give the Storm a two point lead.

Unfortunately, that was wiped out by a 5-1 to Mildenhall, followed by three 3-3's and two 4-2's and a 3-3 in the final heat saw the Storm, who had Luke Crang top scoring with 10+1, beaten 48-42.
