Coventry Storm Speedway Team beat Buxton 48-45 at Brandon on Friday night.

The opening two heats finished in 3-3's before Robert Branford won the third heat for a 4-2.

Two more 3-3's were followed by Jacobs and Chang riding to a 5-1.

Buxton won heat seven 4-2 but the Storm came back with Crang winning for a 4-2 in heat eight and a twice re-run heat nine seeing a Branford and Greenwood taking a 5-1 to see the Storm 32-22 up.

A 3-3 was followed by Charles Wright taking a tactical ride and Buxton taking a 7-2 heat win.

Heat twelve was awarded as a 3-3 after Martin Knuckey went down to avoid taking down Carr. Knuckey was excluded. 

Jacobs and Sarjeant held on for a 5-1 to see the Storm ahead by nine points with two heats to go.

Buxton took heat fourteen 4-2 and then a 5-1 in the final heat but the Storm won 48-45.

Buxton 45: Charles Wright 19, Liam Carr 11+2, Ryan Blacklock 9+1, Adam McKinna 5+1, Tom Woolley 1+1, Matt Williamson 0, Tony Atkin R/R
