Stefan Moore Leaves Leamington

Leamington have lost their leading scorer Stefan Moore to Brackley Town.

The transfer is expected to be completed before this weekend's games and Chairman Jim Scott said to the Brakes website: "The Board of Directors disappointment at this news will undoubtedly be mirrored by all Brakes fans.

"Simply put, Brackley Town made Stefan an offer that he could not and would have been foolish to turn down. We did explore all avenues in making a counter proposal, however the reality is that as a club at our present stage of development, we could not come close to matching the terms offered by Brackley.

"Stefan has been a great ambassador for this club since his arrival a year ago and his goals and his overall contribution were the catalyst for us winning the Southern Premier League. He has conducted himself superbly both on an off the field and he was very happy in his time at the club.

"Like many a young man he has family and commitments and sometimes offers are just too good to say no to. He joined us a year ago in the face of significantly better offers from other clubs, citing the Brakes ambition and structure as being the key factors as to why he wished to join us."
