This seminar will involve a day of discussion and debate about the planning and staging of sports mega events, with particular reference to the 2012 Olympic Games in London.


Conformed speakers include:

Dave Moorcroft (Point Four One)

Coventry kid and City supporter Dave is a former 5000 metre world record holder, former Chief Executive of UK Athletics and currently a Director of the Point Four One sports consultancy.


Jon Tibbs (Jon Tibbs Associates)

Jon has led the strategic communications campaigns for three successful Olympic Games bids: in Beijing, Athens and Sochi.


Louise Poole (EDF Energy)

Louise Poole is EDF Energy's Head of Brand and UK Project Director for London 2012.

Duncan MacKay (The Observer)

Duncan is the athletics correspondent for The Observer and The Guardian.


Jim White (The Daily Telegraph)

Jim is a sports correspondent for the Daily Telegraph.

The seminar will take place between 10.00 and 16.00 in the Humber Lecture Theatre, Coventry University.
