Coventry Sphinx issued the following statement after their superb FA Vase victory at Stanway yesterday.
"The Players and Management of Coventry Sphinx Football Club would like to thank all those supporters who travelled the long journey down to Stanway to cheer us to victory in the FA Vase on Saturday. To see so many of you there to support us as we ran out was a real boost and your vocal support and non stop encouragement was a huge boost to all of us and ensured we kept going and got the result that your support deserved.
Coventry Sphinx would also like to thank all those who emailed, text or sent letters of support ahead of the game and since the great result on Saturday It was a great boost to everyone to receive good wishes from our friends at other clubs in the Midland Alliance and Midland Combination as well as
Salford City. Your support is very much appreciated, thanks to you all."
