Southam Beaten In Midweek Cup Final

Southam United were beaten 2-1 by Lye Town in the final of the Birmingham Midweek Cup.

At Solihull Moors tonight, Lye were awarded a 27th minute penalty for a foul by the keeper on Ricky Anslow. Damien Whitcombe scored by placing his spot kick to the left of the goalkeeper.

Lee Kniibbs' side levelled in the 40th minute thanks to Simeon Smith, calmly firing past Price but Lye scored a second in the second half to take the cup.
