Coventry born Cal Crutchlow finished sixth in the MotoGP season opener in Qatar.
The race was won by World Champion Marc Marquez who had to battle against Valentino Rossi for the win.with Dani Pedrosa coming home third.
Jorge Lorenzo had led the race but crashed on lap fifteen and Crutchlow was nearly out of the race due to his Ducatti being low on fuel but he managed to finish sixteen seconds behind his team mate Andrea Dovizioso.
