Six Weeks Out For Brown

Warwickshire cricketer Dougie Brown faces six weeks on the side-lines after being stretchered off during the Bears win over Northamptonshire Steelbacks on Tuesday night.

The Scot has been diagnosed with a detached muscle in his Achilles and is going to see a specialist in Leicester to see if an operation is needed.

It is bad timing for the all rounder who had been selected for international duty with Scotland in the one dayer against Pakistan and the Twenty20 World Cup and was getting back in the Bears first team after some good performances with the second X1.

Warwickshire's next match is away to Gloucestershire at Bristol tomorrow night and a report will appear on this site.
