Coventry born Cal Crutchlow finished seventh in the Red Bull US Grand Prix.
Marc Marquez won the race at Laguna Sega, beating Stefan Bradl, who had been on pole.
The seventh place dropped Crutchlow to fifth in the overall standing on 116 points.
